The location was comfortable and handy, very close to train station, the hotel overlooked garden. I was surprised at nearby Carafe Coffee Roasters, they had some goodies, drinks. The rooms were nicely furnished and brand-new, with a work desk, multi-channel TV, and a seating area, really nice bed. The breakfast was great, with a good choice of different options: D

City Lounge Hotel, Dusseldorf
I had a wonderful stay at the City Lounge Hotel. The cleanliness of the place really stood out to me, and the breakfast was fantastic. I requested a single room, and I was delighted with the new-fashioned and beautifully maintained accommodations. The bed was really comfortable, and the spacious bathroom was a great addition, complete with a hair dryer, walk-in shower, and plush bath sheets.

When booking, the terms and conditions stated pay on arrival. However they debited the credit card one month in advance. The booking details should clearly state that you have to pay in advance.

Not too difficult to find. Manager was very good and friendly. Good English spoken. Breakfast was perfectly ok. Room was good value for the price. Own underground parking for 8 Euros per day was very handy as parking in nearby streets is a nightmare and expensive. Overall, clean and tidy hotel - nothing special but price was excellent value.

Position of power points within rooms - these were nowhere near the only desk/table in the room. Nor was this part of the room well lit !

Whenever I visit, I always return to the same hotel. I've never had any regrets. The staff gave me good restaurant advice on my first stay. This place suits me perfectly with free Wi-Fi, airport shuttle, laundry, flat-screen TV, and an electric kettle. I'm coming back for New Year!

The VIP Hotel was a great value. A low price in a nice location, only about a 10 min walk away from the center (also 2 tram stops just a couple mins away). There is a locked gate so not just anyone can walk in, and the rooms seem to either be new or have been remodeled recently; they were perfectly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful when needed. We would happily stay there again.
The only negative things were very minor; the breakfast was slightly pricey (at €5/person/day) so we skipped it, and the double bed was actually two singles with a gap between, so we had to sleep separately. Everything else was great.
